Richard Ashdown brings over 25 years of digital experience working with clients across the pharmaceutical, FMCG and automotive industries as well as the UK public sector. This includes 10 years in the video entertainment industry working for independent developers and major software publishers as well as establishing an award winning digital gaming studio with the rock band Queen.
Richard’s strategy experience extends through major online brand launches and platform development to include offline tactical implementation across broader marketing and communications campaigns.
In the pharmaceutical industry, Richard has worked across various therapy areas globally, as well as on regionally focused digital and technology initiatives, programmes and products. This digital experience includes specific Social Media analysis, focused on influencer mapping as well as gamified patient adherence applications. Richard holds a Distinction from the Academy of Digital Business Leaders.
His work has won awards including the AV Industry’s Best Digital Project, Best Educational website for a Pharmaceutical client, Music Week’s Best website Award, and Yell’s Reader’s Choice award for most popular website. Richard has also led AI initiatives for clients across multiple sectors. His work includes voice activated prototypes for patients and he has a specific focus on data integrity, use and manipulation in the context of a post truth world.
Richard worked with the Pulmonary Hypertension Association in advancing their patient communication programs and has worked with other charities designing their digital engagement strategies.
